Community Lawòz groups prepare for the grand celebration of the Feast of Saint Rose de Lima on August 30th, with a number of mock activities in their locales. The activity is not limited to members of the fraternity and the public is invited to participate in the ritual.
A traditional séance will be staged on Saturday, August 26th with a display of elements of food and dance associated with the festival.
It will provide the public with an opportunity to understand and be part of the traditional séance. The processes involved in the ritual are explored with members of various Lawòz groups as well as interested members of the public as they participate in the evening’s festivities.
